Role Description

We are seeking an experienced Systems Manager to support ITC Federal’s work for the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) under the anticipated MEGA 6 automated litigation support (ALS) program. This is a fully remote position supporting DOJ’s complex litigation mission.

Manager responsible for all technical aspects of very large litigation support projects, particularly those with unique and/or complex requirements.

This position supports the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) under the anticipated MEGA 6 procurement. MEGA 6 is expected to continue DOJ’s multiple-award contract vehicle for automated litigation support (ALS) services.

Responsibilities

• Establish separate, dedicated local area networks for litigation support projects as needed.
• Set up specialized databases or customized applications for analyzing litigation case data.
• Manage resources for the project, including equipment, staffing, and coordination with existing systems.
• Report to the contractor’s Senior Technical Manager or Deputy Division Director.
• Take a proactive leadership role in managing technical aspects of the project.
• Coordinate with Government representatives, other contractors, and project components.
• Manage user help desk support, system and user documentation, and training.
• Oversee development of configuration management, risk analysis, and disaster recovery solutions.
• Ensure system and data security are adequately implemented and enforced.
• Consult with the government COR regarding scheduling, personnel assignments, and progress reporting.
• Direct and supervise staff, ensuring conformance to requirements and quality control.

Qualifications

• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Public Trust clearance prior to start.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Ability to work effectively in a fully remote environment.
• Substantial, in-depth skills and experience specific to system requirements.
• At least three years of hands-on experience with relevant systems (e.g., Sun Solaris Oracle applications).
• Several years of first line management experience.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong management, systems analysis, leadership, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in implementing user support help desks.
• Experience developing and deploying new applications to an established user group.
• Experience in a litigation support environment.
• Hands-on experience in a Windows office automation environment such as JCON.
• Trial support experience a plus.
• Undergraduate degree strongly preferred, preferably in computer science or information management/technology.
• Graduate degree in computer science or information management/technology preferred.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

• This is a fully remote position; work is performed from a home office.
• Must be located in or near the Washington, DC area for short-notice on-site meetings.
• Work is primarily sedentary, performed while using a computer for extended periods of time.
