[Hiring] Student Assistant - Business Operations @University of Texas at Austin

Role Description

The BOPS (Business Operations) team supports the Governmental Affairs and Initiatives department by providing a variety of services, including Accounting, Purchasing, HR, and more. Student Assistants assist the Business Operations team on projects including but not limited to:

• Accounting
• Purchasing
• HR data entry and reporting
• Customer service
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Current UT student
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office
• At least one professional or academic reference
• Organized and highly flexible
• High level accuracy and attention to detail
• Able and willing to learn new software systems quickly
• Available for shifts of at least two hours between 7:30 am - 4 pm, Monday - Friday
• Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate

Requirements

• Up to 15 hours weekly. Schedule to be determined with supervisor
• Remote in Austin area
• New OnRamps student employee pay is $12.00 hourly
• Returning OnRamps student employee pay is $13.00 hourly
• Returning 2 years or more OnRamps student employee pay is $14.00 hourly
• Professional development completion + returning 2 years or more OnRamps student employee pay is $14.50
• Position effective August 16 - December 31, 2026
• One position open to The University of Texas at Austin Undergraduate students only
