Role Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Strategic Sourcing Specialist to support procurement operations during a major acquisition and business integration within the power generation industry. This role requires an independent sourcing professional capable of managing complex procurement initiatives, supplier relationships, and strategic sourcing activities with minimal supervision.

• Lead end-to-end strategic sourcing initiatives, from routine RFQs to complex procurement projects.
• Manage sourcing activities involving power generation equipment, turbine services, and electrical and mechanical components.
• Evaluate supplier proposals, negotiate contracts, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Support acquisition integration through efficient procurement execution.
• Utilize Coupa, Asset Suite 9, and Microsoft Office to manage sourcing activities.
• Independently prioritize procurement workloads and meet business objectives.

Qualifications

• 5 years of sourcing or procurement experience, including complex sourcing initiatives.
• Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong RFQ management, supplier negotiation, and strategic procurement skills.
• Proficiency with Coupa, Asset Suite 9, and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to contribute immediately without extensive sourcing training.
• Preferred: Experience in the power generation or electrical utility industry.
• Preferred: Expertise in turbine generators, maintenance services, and long-term service agreements (LTSAs).
• Preferred: Experience sourcing high-voltage electrical equipment, mechanical components, and power plant services.
• Preferred: Availability to work Eastern or Central Time Zone hours.
