Role Description

The Sourcing Specialist is a hands-on, supplier-facing role within our global sourcing and procurement team, supporting a portfolio of suppliers spread across several countries and time zones. The initial focus is our consumables supply base - products that are consumed or ingested, which carry higher specification, traceability, and compliance requirements than general merchandise.

Day to day, you will:

• Manage supplier communication.
• Prepare and analyze RFQs.
• Drive new product development timelines.
• Keep projects moving.

You will work closely with our category managers, and as you establish yourself, there is real scope to take on greater commercial responsibility, including negotiation and elements of category ownership.

You will spend a large part of your week in direct contact with factories, including:

• Chasing samples.
• Resolving specification questions.
• Pushing on timelines.
• Building working relationships that make a supply base responsive.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, International Trade, or a related field.
• 2 - 4 years of experience in sourcing, procurement, buying, supplier management, international trade, or a comparable supplier-facing role.
• Fluent, confident written and spoken English.
• Strong Excel / Google Sheets skills - comparison models, lookups, and pivot tables.
• Strong project management capability.
• Persistence and comfort with constructive commercial tension.
• High attention to detail, particularly around specifications, documentation, and compliance paperwork.
• Self-starter who works well remotely with limited supervision.
• The appetite and potential to grow into broader commercial and category responsibility over time.

Requirements

• Experience with food safety and quality requirements for consumable products - human or pet - such as HACCP, GFSI/BRC, FDA or equivalent regimes.
• Experience in supplements, food, personal care, or another regulated consumable category.
• Experience working with manufacturers in Asia, or with suppliers in Latin America and South Asia.
• Exposure to an ERP system (NetSuite or similar) and to e-commerce or Amazon-native businesses.
• Additional languages - Spanish and Portuguese are particularly useful.
