[Hiring] Solution Engineer @Prominence Advisors

Role Description

Prominence Advisors is actively seeking a Solution Engineer to join our team. At Prominence Advisors, Solution Engineers sit at the intersection of our clients, sales team, and consulting and technical teams. They serve as the bridge between understanding a client's challenges and designing practical, tailored solutions that align with both business goals and implementation realities.

• Engage early in the sales process to understand client objectives and requirements.
• Design tailored solutions and implementation approaches that are technically feasible and appropriately scoped.
• Evaluate architecture options, technical tradeoffs, and build vs. buy decisions.
• Collaborate with sales, partner managers, and technical subject matter experts.
• Develop technical approaches, architectures, demonstrations, estimates, timelines, and proposal content.
• Translate between business needs and technical considerations.
• Provide subject matter expertise during client conversations and solution-development activities.
• Identify relevant Prominence experience and proof points.
• Support the transition from sales to delivery by documenting key requirements and expectations.
• Adapt approach as new information emerges or priorities shift.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in solution engineering or a comparable client-facing technical role.
• Demonstrated experience working with healthcare data and technology.
• Technical depth in modern data, cloud, analytics, integration, or AI architectures.
• Ability to lead or contribute to client discovery and solution design activities.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to synthesize information.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience collaborating across multiple teams or disciplines.
• Ability to quickly learn unfamiliar technologies and technical domains.
• Comfort operating in ambiguous environments.
• Ability to manage multiple opportunities and stakeholders simultaneously.

Requirements

• Previous experience in healthcare consulting, technical pre-sales, or a similar role.
• Familiarity with healthcare data platforms and analytics technologies.
• Experience partnering directly with health system executives and operational leaders.
• Experience developing statements of work, proposals, and implementation plans.
• Experience presenting solutions to executive and technical audiences.
• Experience comparing technology options and making recommendations.
• A track record of building trusted relationships with clients and stakeholders.
