[Hiring] (Senior) Fraud Operations Expert @Scalable GmbH

Role Description

In this role, you will own the end-to-end triage and investigation of potential fraud cases flagged by our monitoring systems or the business in real-time, ensuring every resolution is met with high accuracy and speed.

• Be a catalyst for continuous improvement by identifying operational gaps and inefficiencies.
• Proactively raise risks to help build more robust processes and tooling.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to share strategic insights.
• Utilize analytical mindset to translate recurring patterns into actionable data-driven insights.
• Ensure coverage during early/late hours and weekends as this role may require on-call duties.

This is a fixed-term position for 2 years.

Qualifications

• At least 2-3 years of experience in fraud operations within fintech, payments, or a similar environment.
• Proven track record in designing and configuring foundational risk and fraud controls.
• Collaborate across Product, Engineering, and Data to design and launch automated fraud detection systems.
• Deep understanding of fraud typologies and ability to identify complex patterns.
• Keen eye for identifying operational gaps or emerging risks.
• High attention to detail and self-direction to manage a dynamic workload.
• Exceptional organizational skills and ability to stay composed as workload scales.
• Strong sense of responsibility for managing cases from initial triage to final resolution.
• SQL skills (or experience with another programming language) to independently query data.
• Fluency in German and excellent English skills (both written and spoken).
