[Hiring] National Mosque Manager @Human Appeal

Role Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a National Masjid Manager position within the Fundraising department. The National Masjid Manager will support to develop, manage and deliver a range of fundraising campaigns, throughout the year, in mosques and organisations.

• Work closely with the London & South regional managers to strategically lead and coordinate fundraising activities in mosques and organisations.
• Develop a database of mosques and organisations.
• Develop and deliver an engagement and retention plan to deepen fundraising relationships with mosques and organisations.
• Secure bookings for collections during Ramadan and other campaigns all year round.
• Organise events and tours for mosques throughout the year.
• Maintain good relationships with mosques by frequently visiting and communicating with them.
• Recruit, develop and engage with mosque volunteers to support fundraising projects in mosques and organisations.
• Ensure that all available fundraising opportunities are successfully exploited and maintained at agreed levels of return on investment.

Main Responsibilities

• Promote and wholly adhere to the fundraising code of conduct and best practice.
• Maximise fundraising income and awareness for HA year on year, via:
  • Managing and completing collections during Ramadan and all year round.
  • Maintaining frequent visits and communicating with mosque key stakeholders.
  • Creating a circle of mosque volunteers, and successfully utilising them.
• Establish clear lines of communication as the main point of contact between local mosques and organisations and HA.
• Manage various engaging fundraising projects/activities in mosques.
• Manage and nurture a network of volunteers in line with the volunteer recruitment strategy.
• Provide support to FR colleagues when necessary.
• Maintain internal procedures/administration such as donor management system, account management system, and cash counting protocols.
• Contribute towards the development, maintenance and delivery of HA’s national fundraising plan.
• Motivate and manage a team within fundraising when required.
• Adhere to the charities policies and procedures at all times.
• Demonstrate ongoing professional development through reflective practice.
• Manage booking and collections from mosques all year round.
• Maintain cash controls at all times.
• Ensure feedback to mosques by providing them with receipts, certificates and annual reports.
• Update HA database with mosques, community centers and ISOC prayer halls.
• Be the main point of contact for the relationship between mosques, ISOCs and organisations.

Qualifications

• Minimum GCSE Mathematics, English. Ideally educated to degree level.
• Minimum of 2 years in a similar post, proven track record of project and events management.
• Computer literate and competent with Microsoft Office, Social Media, Donor Management systems.
• English Language proficiency.

Requirements

• Additional language skills e.g. Spanish, French, Arabic/Urdu/Bengali/Gujarati/Hindi/Punjabi.
