Role Description

We are looking for creative, highly motivated individuals to help prepare for the successful launch of Tab-cel, an investigational cell therapy for the treatment of Epstein Barr positive post-transplant lymphoproliferative disease. The National Access Director will play a critical role in preparing for launch and facilitating urgent access to Tab-cel once approved.

• Work closely with Pierre Fabre’s Cell Therapy Account Directors and Field Medical Directors to support site operational onboarding and readiness.
• Responsible for pre- and post-approval information exchange with payers to ensure they have the appropriate data for coverage decisions.
• Ensure timely access to information for financial stakeholders at treating facilities and payers.
• Operate in compliance with all laws, regulations, and policies governing Pierre Fabre activities.
• Facilitate urgent access to Tab-cel by educating payer customers and treatment center financial stakeholders.
• Contribute to the US Value and Access Team by monitoring trends and policy changes.
• Seek opportunities for synergy and partnership to achieve Pierre Fabre and customer goals.
• Enable payer coverage assessment through pre-approval and post-approval information exchange.
• Support overall access strategy with engagement of Federal Payers and Medicare FFS.
• Educate payers on the urgent unmet need and provide resources for coverage pathways.
• Identify appropriate payer stakeholders and partner with payer colleagues for expedited case reviews.
• Provide approved product education and health economic information to key customers.
• Ensure financial and reimbursement confidence and communicate payer coverage with providers post-approval.
• Partner with treatment sites to educate on reimbursement processes, coverage, and coding details.
• Liaise with external specialty distributor counterparts to meet objectives.
• Proactively communicate payer coverage criteria to internal field teams and external stakeholders.
• Prepare treatment centers to be reimbursement ready before and after anticipated approval.
• Ensure timely access to information for navigating prior authorizations and single-case agreements.
• Act as the primary field team member responsible for education regarding patient assistance programs.
• Partner with payer relations teams to resolve coverage and reimbursement issues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; healthcare degrees or credentials desirable.
• Strong working experience with national and regional payers managing medical and pharmacy benefit policy.
• Deep knowledge of inpatient and outpatient reimbursement methodology and dynamics.
• 10+ years of biotech/pharma experience with at least five years in coverage and reimbursement dynamics of complex advanced therapies.
• Experience with cell and gene therapy networks and Medical Director teams at payers managing Cell Therapy products (strongly preferred).
• Strong presentation skills and executive presence.
• Exceptional business acumen and hospital administrative expertise.
• Experience with pharmacy/therapeutics committee and high impact drug review processes at institutions.
