Role Description

Are you a senior localization professional in Slovak with a flawless command of the technical and marketing domain? We are seeking an experienced Language Lead (English to Slovak) to champion linguistic quality, govern terminology assets, and lead a distributed team of freelance translators for our premier Technical Marketing localization pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Define, implement, and maintain rigorous quality standards for all English to Slovak localization streams.
• Audit deliverables and manage the linguistic feedback loop.
• Lead, mentor, and coordinate a remote team of freelance translators, editors, and LQA testers.
• Provide actionable linguistic feedback, onboarding training, and query resolution.
• Partner closely with global Project Managers, Engineering teams, and client stakeholders to optimize localization workflows, mitigate risks, and troubleshoot complex technical or linguistic challenges.
• Monitor, analyze, and report on resource performance, linguistic quality metrics, and project delivery timelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Translation, Linguistics, or a related field.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in Marketing localization, with at least 2+ years acting in a Language Lead or LQA Specialist capacity.
• Must be currently based in Slovakia with proven experience working in Slovak-language content.
• Deep proficiency in advanced translation management systems and CAT tools (e.g., Trados Studio, Phrase, memoQ) alongside automated Quality Assurance tools (e.g., Xbench).
• Exceptional communication, organizational, and conflict-resolution skills, with a demonstrated ability to manage concurrent pipelines and tight release schedules.
