[Hiring] Fractional Director of Investor Relations @Arootah

Role Description

Arootah is searching for experienced Directors or Heads of Investor Relations to consult our client base. As a consultant, you will work with our Alternative Asset Firm and Family Office clients to provide expert advice. Having previously served in a senior role as a Director or Head of Investor Relations, you have specific, hands-on experience strategically executing the firm's entire Investor Relations process, including:

• Managing and overseeing the onboarding of clients.
• Proactively meeting the ongoing servicing needs of clients and constituents.

Core Areas of Expertise

• Provide advice and guidance to Arootah clients on Investor Relations needs.
• Consult with leading Alternative Asset Firms and Family Offices.
• Develop realistic and effective monthly action plans.
• Identify internal and contextual roadblocks.
• Break apart goals into actionable steps.
• Devise a plan of action for each goal.
• Provide clients with resources for implementing their action plan.
• Implement policies, procedures, and control measures.
• Review, analyze, and report on client tools and resources to ensure industry best practices.
• Evaluate client advancement toward goal actualization through KPIs and scoring matrices.
• Maintain and share detailed and accurate records of consulting results.
• Manage day-to-day investor relations, including client onboarding and servicing.
• Deliver accurate and consistent messages to existing and potential investors.
• Assist in creating, editing, and maintaining marketing documents.
• Proactively address RFPs and DDQs, completing all corresponding documentation.
• Review monthly performance reports with a strong understanding of data analyses.
• Work closely with internal groups to ensure client and regulatory requirements are satisfied.
• Create, maintain, and enhance marketing materials for investor meetings and events.
• Maintain external databases with the firm’s data and information.
• Enhance the firm’s database to improve data warehouse efficiency.
• Populate and maintain internal client database and facilitate performance update emails.
• Handle ad hoc prospect and current client requests.

Qualifications

• Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Marketing, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
• Sales or financial industry designations (e.g., Series 7 or Series 63) are a plus.
• Minimum of seven (7) years of professional experience in a similar IR/Marketing role.
• Experience working with sophisticated institutional clients and developing new opportunities.
• Instinct on sales and desire to establish new relationships.
• Knowledge of multi-asset sectors and investment types.
• Demonstrated analytical and quantitative skills.
• Superb written and verbal communication skills.
• Confident client presentation skills (in person and phone).
• Strong team player with interpersonal skills necessary to interact with senior personnel.
• Self-starter with strong project management and follow-through skills.

Compensation

$200 - $400 an hour
