Role Description
We are looking for an ambitious, systems-minded, and hands-on Senior International Accountant (m/f/d) to spearhead our international financial operations and serve as a key driver of our global accounting and operational controlling infrastructure.
In this pivotal role, you will take full end-to-end ownership of our expanding international entities (US Inc., UK Ltd.) and bring key financial processes in-house. Working hand-in-hand with our Team Lead Group Accounting & Controlling, you will:
-
Drive full end-to-end accounting, month-end closes, and year-end close preparations for our growing international entities (US Inc. & UK Ltd.) under local GAAP (US/UK GAAP) and HGB alignment.
-
Own operational controlling (Actual vs. Budget variance analysis) for the US and UK entities to ensure complete data integrity prior to team lead sign-off.
-
Maintain and optimize LucaNet for technical group consolidation, entity alignment, and data hygiene, while streamlining daily workflows across Payhawk, QuickBooks, and Sage.
-
Execute monthly transfer pricing calculations and ensure clean cross-entity intercompany recharges and reconciliations.
-
Manage international AR/AP, payment runs (enforcing 4-eye controls), dunning workflows, and client onboarding finance checks for US and UK operations.
-
Support with schedules and documentation for international audits (e.g., UK audit), while serving as a qualified backup for Spanish entity accounting (SLU) when needed.
Qualifications
-
You bring 3–5+ years of progressive professional experience in international accounting and controlling, ideally within a fast-paced scale-up, tech company, or international corporate environment.
-
You have solid hands-on experience with multi-entity accounting and local standards (US GAAP, UK GAAP, or Spanish GAAP). Experience with intercompany transactions and transfer pricing is a strong plus.
-
You are fluent in English (C1/C2 level) as your primary working language AND have solid working proficiency in Spanish (B2+ level) to support our Spanish entity backup.
-
You are highly proficient with modern financial toolstacks—specifically LucaNet, Payhawk, QuickBooks, or Sage.
-
You possess a strong self-starter mindset. When facing a new software or process, you dive in, figure it out, and build a clean solution independently.
-
You take pride in structured work, enjoy documenting processes (SOPs), and balance speed with high numerical accuracy.
Requirements
-
Please ensure that your application is submitted in English.
-
Even if you consider yourself an 80% fit but have a genuine passion for this position, we encourage you to apply.
