[Hiring] Digital Transformation and Delivery Lead - Environmental Remediation Sector @AECOM

Role Description

AECOM is seeking a qualified candidate to lead the digital delivery for the remediation business in US West, from setting the direction through to getting it done. This role focuses on maturing the use of digital technology to create value through:

• New systems
• Enhancement of existing systems
• Improved business processes

The successful candidate will perform hands-on solution work where needed and lead delivery through others, coordinating resources from across the business without line-management authority. The role works within corporate technology direction and standards while advocating for new technology, including emerging capabilities like AI.

Key Responsibilities

• Digital Strategy and Opportunity:
  • Identify opportunities for maturing digital technology in the remediation business.
  • Define necessary actions, resources, timing, and expected benefits.
  • Set and evolve the digital roadmap, prioritizing initiatives.
  • Align with corporate technology direction and standards.
  • Maintain awareness of market trends and digital practices.
• Delivery Leadership and Execution:
  • Lead delivery of digital initiatives across engagements.
  • Perform hands-on solution work, including configuration on Smartsheet and Microsoft platforms.
  • Ensure initiatives meet scope, timing, quality, and expected benefits.
  • Match tools and platforms to job requirements within corporate standards.
• Resourcing and Coordination:
  • Assess business capabilities for delivery work and recommend resources.
  • Coordinate delivery direction to resources across the business.
• Solution Quality and Translation:
  • Translate business needs into clear technical direction.
  • Provide oversight to ensure delivered solutions meet business needs.
  • Implement QA/QC processes and review solution designs.
  • Develop and deploy SOPs, templates, and playbooks.
• Value, Alignment, and Reporting:
  • Articulate the value proposition for digital initiatives and track outcomes.
  • Work closely with the regional Digital Director of Operations.
  • Build and maintain stakeholder alignment across various teams.
  • Own leadership reporting and decision-making escalation.

Qualifications

• BA/BS and 8 years of experience in digital delivery, digital transformation, or a related field.
• Successful candidate will undergo a background check.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in digital strategy or transformation and hands-on digital delivery.
• Ability to perform solution work directly and lead delivery through others.
• Hands-on experience configuring and administering Smartsheet.
• Experience configuring solutions across Microsoft 365 and Power Platform.
• Familiarity with core platforms used in the environment business.
• Proven ability to set a digital roadmap and prioritize initiatives.
• Experience building business cases and tracking realized benefits.
• Strong ability to operate with ambiguity.
• Proven ability to coordinate and direct matrixed resources.
• Awareness of emerging capabilities such as AI.
• Experience in environmental remediation activities, consulting, or management.
• Preferred time zones: Central or Mountain.
