[Hiring] Crop Claims Field Adjuster I/II/Specialist @Zurich Insurance Company Ltd.

Role Description

Zurich is currently looking for a RCIS Crop Claims Field Adjuster I, RCIS Crop Claims Field Adjuster II, or RCIS Crop Claims Specialist to work out of the state of Kansas. This incumbent will work from a home-based office, scheduled to work 40 hours per week, with approximately 50% travel expected to cover the territory.

The ideal candidate will need to live and service within a 100-mile area of the following Kansas counties:

• Greeley
• Logan
• Rawlins
• Scott
• Sheridan
• Sherman
• Thomas
• Wallace
• Wichita

As a Crop Adjuster, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Completing field inspections and related responsibilities with minimal supervision.
• Reading maps and aerial photos, measuring fields, and storage bins.
• Discussing findings of crop loss with farmers on complex non-routine claims.
• Conveying complex regulations and interpretations to claimants, agents, and industry professionals.
• Performing fact-finding regarding crop damage and recording information.
• Transmitting loss information to accurately determine potential indemnities.
• Gathering relevant facts and establishing basic principles of negligence.
• Completing claim reviews and audits on lower-level adjusters as assigned.
• Ensuring legal compliance by maintaining knowledge of regulatory and company policies.
• Contributing to team efforts by accomplishing related results and participating in projects.

Qualifications

• RCIS Crop Claims Field Adjuster I: High School Diploma or Equivalent and 6 or more months of experience in the agricultural area.
• RCIS Crop Claims Field Adjuster II: High School Diploma or Equivalent and 2 or more years of experience in crop insurance and claims adjusting.
• RCIS Crop Claims Specialist: High School Diploma or Equivalent and 4 or more years of experience in the agricultural or crop insurance industry.
• Crop Adjuster Proficiency Program Certification (CAPP) must be obtained within 180 days of hire date for certain positions.
• Reliable personal transportation and travel within territory.
• Valid Driver’s License.

Requirements

• RCIS Crop Adjuster Physical Requirements: walk in agricultural fields up to 3 miles, climb agricultural storage bins up to 25 feet, lift 25 lbs. to 50 lbs., work outdoors in varying temperatures/weather conditions.

• Salary range for RCIS Crop Claims Field Adjuster I: $22.40 - $30.87 per hour.
• Salary range for RCIS Crop Claims Field Adjuster II: $24.66 - $33.89 per hour.
• Salary range for RCIS Crop Claims Specialist: $49,500.00 - $81,000.00.
