[Hiring] Consultant for Development of Youth-Friendly IEC Materials @Restless Development

Role Description

Restless Development is seeking a consultant (individual or firm) for the development of Youth-Friendly IEC Materials on Local Government Planning and Budgeting.

Qualifications

• Required Degree in communications, public administration, graphic design, social sciences or a related field.
• At least 5 years' experience developing IEC and behaviour-change or civic education materials.
• Demonstrated understanding of local government planning, budgeting and citizen participation.
• Proven skills in graphic design, illustration and infographics (portfolio should be included in the application).
• Experience working with young people and producing youth-friendly content.
• Desirable: Experience in social accountability, governance or civic engagement programming.
• Desirable: Skills in video/animation, social media content or audio production.
• Desirable: Experience with accessibility and inclusive design.

Requirements

• Technical proposal (maximum 5 pages outlining the understanding of the assignment, approach and work plan).
• A financial proposal with a breakdown of professional fees and any other costs.
• CV(s) of the consultant or team members.
• A portfolio with at least three (3) samples of similar youth-friendly or IEC materials.
• Contact details of at least (2) referees.

Benefits

• Total Budget: UGX. 4,000,000 (Inclusive of all taxes and professional fees).
• Duration: The consultancy is expected to last Four (4) weeks from the date of contract signing.
