Role Description

As the Chief Technology & Security Officer (CTSO), you will lead global IT operations, technology strategy, infrastructure governance, and cyber security initiatives across the organisation. This newly created executive leadership position is designed to provide strategic oversight across both IT Operations and Information Security while partnering closely with senior leadership to support future growth and risk management objectives.

This position combines approximately:

• 60% IT Operations & Technology Leadership
• 40% Information Security & Cyber Risk Management

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Leading global IT operations
• Developing and executing technology roadmaps
• Driving infrastructure optimisation
• Ensuring a strong and evolving security posture across a geographically distributed business

This role is best suited to someone who enjoys balancing strategic leadership, governance, risk management, operational excellence, and stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications

• Experience leading global or multi-country technology operations
• Strong exposure to both IT infrastructure and cyber security
• Experience managing distributed teams and third-party providers
• Knowledge of cloud technologies, security frameworks, governance, and risk management
• Experience operating at executive, director, or senior leadership level

Requirements

• Must hold a second passport / dual citizenship
• Fully remote role based in South Africa
• International travel (approximately 4 international trips per year)
• Reporting directly to the Group CFO
• Immediate start preferred
