Role Description

The Application Systems Manager is responsible to oversee the day-to-day operations of a defined set of applications (clinical, administrative, or financial). This includes activities related to:

• Analysis
• Configuration
• Testing
• Support
• Release
• Training
• Implementation

Typically these systems are utilized across multiple hospitals, clinics, and divisions. This position is responsible for adopting best practice standards that align with IS and business strategies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in healthcare or computer technology related field (degree must be obtained through an accredited institution; education is verified) - or - Four years experience in healthcare or computer technology related field.
• Six years experience configuring, supporting, training, and implementing clinical, financial, or administrative systems used in healthcare (hospitals, clinics, insurance, etc.).
• Demonstrated effective leadership and communication skills.
• Demonstrated strong analysis, problem resolution, judgment, and decision-making skills.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
• Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
• Experience working in a healthcare environment.

Requirements

• Two years management experience - and - Three years experience supporting healthcare applications.
• Experience working in a healthcare environment.
• Results oriented.
• Self-motivated and directed.
• Keen attention to detail.
• Strong customer service orientation.
• Interact with others requiring the employee to communicate information.
• Operate computers and other IT equipment requiring the ability to move fingers and hands.
• See and read computer monitors and documents.
• Remain sitting or standing for long periods of time to perform work on a computer, telephone, or other equipment.
