Role Description

This role will be remote, and can be based out of Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, New Mexico, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, Texas, Washington, and Wyoming for external candidates.

The NWA (Senior) Relationship Manager (RM) role is pivotal within the organization, focusing on serving a portfolio of network organizations (NWOs) and ensuring a deep understanding of their operations and needs. This position works closely with a team of relationship managers, other staff, and regional leadership in support of the region’s entire portfolio of NWOs.

• Portfolio Management: Oversees a portfolio of network organizations, developing a comprehensive understanding of each organization's mission, goals, challenges, and needs.
• Expertise in NW Services and Products: Guides network organizations in utilizing resources effectively, including brokering connections to tools, resources, and subject matter experts.
• Data-Driven Decision Making: Utilizes data compiled by NW, along with market and industry analysis, to make informed decisions on support.
• Customer-Centric Approach: Ensures a customer-centric approach in interactions and solutions.
• Strategic Thinking: Plans and implements capacity-building strategies to strengthen organizational performance.
• Organizational Development Expertise: Enhances organizational performance and sustainability through deep expertise in various non-profit business models.
• Performance Assessment: Assists network organizations in preparing for performance assessments and developing action plans based on results.
• Board Management: Works directly with non-profit boards, assesses performance, facilitates training, and engages in strategic planning.
• Funding Evaluation: Reviews and evaluates funding requests from network members for alignment with goals.
• Strategic Visioning: Collaborates with NWOs in strategic thinking and visioning for long-term success and impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Nonprofit Management, Community Development, Urban Planning, Finance, Organizational Development, or a related field.
• 5-7 years of related professional or personal experience in community development, affordable housing, or non-profit management for Relationship Manager.
• 8+ years of experience for a Sr. Relationship Manager designation.

Requirements

• Nonprofit Management and Board Governance Experience.
• Demonstrated experience in real estate development, asset management, homeownership, lending, financial management, or board governance.
• Advanced experience in developing outcome-based performance measurements.
• Experience in evaluating and analyzing financial statements.
• Excellent written, auditory, and oral communication skills.
• Experience in delivering technical assistance in asset management, affordable housing, or real estate development.
• Cultural competence to interact effectively with diverse cultures and socio-economic backgrounds.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).
• Demonstrated project management skills and multitasking abilities.
• Initiative-taking and collaborative work style.
