[Hiring] Senior Account Manager @The Legends Agency

Role Description

This is a senior account and project management position responsible for independently owning client accounts and projects from initial enquiry through to final delivery and invoicing.

• Manage client accounts and projects independently from first enquiry through to final delivery.
• Manage the shared inbox day to day to ensure nothing is missed.
• Respond promptly to new enquiries and independently manage them through to delivery.
• Qualify enquiries based on budget before approaching crew and decline work that cannot be delivered well or where there is insufficient capacity.
• Lead client calls confidently, prepared and with the required information available.
• Manage photography and video projects end to end, covering briefing, scoping, crew coordination, delivery and invoicing.
• Cover colleagues’ accounts during holidays and peak periods.
• Establish budgets, delivery timeframes and usage requirements before approaching creatives.
• Build accurate and commercially sound quotes.
• Negotiate rates with creatives and determine when to hold firm with clients.
• Identify extension opportunities, including offering video to clients booking photography.
• Follow up on proposals and chase outstanding invoices and purchase orders.
• Grow repeat business with existing clients.
• Build relationships with more than one contact within each key account.
• Maintain contact with previous clients.
• Book, brief and support photographers and videographers across the UK and internationally.
• Source, vet and onboard new creatives, including conducting portfolio reviews and introductory calls.
• Keep creative records, contracts and insurance documentation up to date.
• Work in Light Blue and Google Workspace and maintain accurate job records.
• Check and approve AI-prepared administration before it is issued.
• Document working processes and suggest improvements.
• Make operational decisions independently.
• Escalate contractual or reputational matters, or situations involving an unhappy client, immediately.
• Write occasional blog posts or website content.
• Support social media requirements as a small part of the role.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience in account or project management within a photography agency, production company, event agency, creative services or talent management business.
• Proven experience independently managing client accounts and projects end to end.
• Demonstrated ability to make commercial decisions and manage freelancers without close supervision.
• Experience writing quotes and proposals, supported by strong commercial awareness.
• Experience booking, briefing and managing freelance photographers or videographers with daily contact.
• Hands-on experience with booking systems and booking processes, using Light Blue or a similar system.
• Experience using Google Workspace.
• Able to manage several clients, creatives and deadlines simultaneously while maintaining close attention to detail.
• Excellent written English and a confident manner on calls.
• Comfortable working from home full time, with previous experience doing so and a good home setup.
• Experience using AI tools as part of day-to-day work.
• Flexible and willing to support different areas of work within a small team.
• Organised, commercially minded and calm under pressure.
• Enjoys building relationships with both clients and creatives.
• Takes ownership rather than waiting to be directed.
• Enjoys the operational, organisational and detailed aspects of account and project management.
• Comfortable with video briefs or genuinely interested in developing video production knowledge.

• Desirable: Experience working with clients and creatives across different time zones.

• This position is not suited to someone seeking a commission-led sales role.
