[Hiring] Unpaid Movie News Writer @mxdwn Entertainment

Role Description

If you are a thoughtful, analytical writer with impeccable grammar, a passion for movies, and an ability to hit consistent deadlines we want you. Writers will be responsible for:

• Tracking, researching, and writing informative, personable news stories
• Promoting thoughtful discussion among an audience of film lovers
• Communicating not only what's happening, but why it matters to the moviegoer
• Framing the conversation surrounding the news you're covering

We are a growing company with room for talented and driven writers to rise quickly. Please note that the position is ​UNPAID. This is an opportunity to be an integral part of a passionate team that loves talking about movies, but we are not able to offer compensation outside of some press access. This is not a full-time position, but will require a regular time commitment of at least 3-6 hours per week. Content delivery on regular deadlines will be expected. All work is done remotely/from home, although there are opportunities to attend press events for those in Los Angeles and New York.
