Role Description
The Technical Writer position is responsible for creating and maintaining high-quality articles, tutorial videos, and product UI text to support KnowBe4βs products, features, and services.

Interview subject-matter experts (SMEs), such as Product Managers, Engineers, and Marketing Managers, about product-related changes to gather information for technical documentation.

Work with Product Managers to develop or review text for product UI.

Attend meetings for assigned projects to represent the Product Writing team and capture any required product changes.

Create and maintain technical documentation and tutorial video scripts for customers to support KnowBe4βs products and services.

Act as an SME and/or peer reviewer for projects related to your assigned areas.

Respond to internal requests for documentation additions or updates.

Manage projects, track documentation changes, and collaborate during the product development process using Jira.

Ensure quality, accuracy, consistency, and clarity within our knowledge base documentation, tutorial videos, and more.

Track any updates/changes to KnowBe4βs products and services in our change log and release notes.

Partner with AI tools to improve efficiency and speed in your day-to-day tasks.
Qualifications

Bachelorβs Degree (Technical Communication, English, or related field preferred).

Minimum 1 year experience in technical writing or process creation.

Minimum 1 year experience in UX writing (preferred but not required).

Experience using AI technology (such as Gemini) to improve efficiency with day-to-day tasks.

Excellent verbal and written communications (grammar, spelling, sentence structure) and proofreading skills.

Ability to present and break down complex technical concepts in an easy-to-understand manner.

Basic knowledge of HTML preferred.

Self-motivated with excellent time management and organization skills.

Ability to write collaboratively or independently.

Ability to adjust to shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Familiarity with writing English for a global audience.

Knowledge of Zendesk, Google Docs, and Jira preferred.

Experience with Agile software development methodology preferred.
