Role Description
We’re looking for a SEO Writer & Strategist to plan and execute the development of high-quality, search-optimised content that educates, engages, and converts pet owners. This role blends SEO expertise, content creation, and strategic planning, ensuring that our content ranks highly in search engines while delivering real value to our audience.
- Researching, writing, and optimising content that helps pet owners find the best solutions for their pets’ health.
- Collaborating with designers, developers, and marketing teams to ensure alignment with our broader brand growth strategy.
- Staying informed on SEO trends and technologies impacting the search landscape.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in SEO content writing, content strategy, or digital marketing.
- Strong understanding of SEO principles, including keyword research, search intent, on-page optimisation, and content structuring.
- Exceptional writing and editing skills with a portfolio of high-ranking SEO content.
- Experience managing content from inception to execution including briefing assignments, coordinating with freelance writers and SMEs, editing, and publishing using a CMS such as Wordpress.
- Ability to translate complex health and science topics into engaging, easy-to-understand content.
- Strong collaboration and project management skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally with marketing, creative, and development teams.
- Experience working in DTC, eCommerce, or subscription-based businesses is a plus.
- A growth mindset and the ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience with SEO tools such as Ahrefs, SEMrush, Screaming Frog, and Google Search Console.
- Knowledge of Google algorithms, E-E-A-T principles, and technical SEO basics.
