Role Description

Leland is seeking an experienced publishing and writing coach to work with writers looking to sharpen their craft and break into the publishing industry. This role includes:

• Teaching writing techniques and editing
• Guiding writers through manuscript submission and publishing strategy
• Helping students build capabilities through consistent, practical skill building
• Supporting the career side of the journey, including:
  • Resume review
  • Interview prep
  • Salary negotiation
  • Networking strategy
  • Freelancing for those pursuing independent writing work

Coaches set their own hours and rates, host sessions virtually, and partner with our team to deliver a high-quality, supportive experience for every student.

Qualifications

• Professional experience in publishing or writing
• Prior coaching or mentoring experience
• Clear, structured approach to helping writers grow both their craft and their career
