[Hiring] Part-Time German Translator @Skinnify

Role Description

This is a part-time, as-needed position paid on an hourly basis. Workload will vary depending on business needs. Only apply if you are a native or near-native German speaker with experience in translation, localization, or marketing copy adaptation for e-commerce brands. You must be able to translate not just words, but meaning, tone, and conversion-focused messaging.

Now, we’re looking for a Part-Time German Translator to support our expansion in the German market — someone who can translate and localize website pages, marketing materials, and content with precision and a strong marketing mindset.

Your Responsibilities

• Translate and localize website pages from English to German
• Work on briefs for marketing and product content
• Adapt copy to ensure it sounds natural, persuasive, and culturally relevant in German
• Support ongoing content creation for ads, emails, and landing pages
• Collaborate with the marketing and creative team to ensure consistent brand tone
• Maintain terminology consistency across all German assets
• Review and improve existing German content for clarity and conversion optimization

Qualifications

• Native or fluent German speaker with excellent writing skills
• Experience in translation, localization, or copywriting (e-commerce experience is a big plus)
• Strong understanding of marketing language and conversion-focused writing
• Ability to adapt tone, not just translate word-for-word
• Detail-oriented and reliable with deadlines
• Comfortable working remotely and independently
• Bonus: Experience with DTC brands (fashion, fitness, or e-commerce)
