Role Description
This is a paid freelance, remote position. If you’re an experienced writer with a finger on the pulse of the Film & Television world, CBR wants you to join its award-winning writing team!
- Create original and informative Movie & Television List articles
- Produce high-quality articles under time constraints
- Review familiarity with CBR’s range of topics before applying
- Demonstrate knowledge of the specific vertical in your cover letter
Qualifications
- A passion for the content and a drive to grow within the industry
- Previous writing experience (Editing experience is a plus)
- Broad working knowledge of the Film & Television world
- The ability to analyze content and pull directly from the source material
- A sharp eye for grammatical details
- Excellent command of the English language
- Ability to write high-quality articles with swift turn-around times
- Comfortable working in an entirely virtual environment
- General understanding of the culture and strong research skills
Requirements
- Write articles in CBR’s house style (following requisite training)
- Fact-checking, formatting, linking, and image sourcing/very basic editing
- Brainstorm, pitch, and develop original content ideas
- Accept and apply any/all feedback received by the editorial team
- Communicate openly and actively with the editorial team
