[Hiring] Linguist - Finnish @LILT (Production)

Role Description

Lilt is looking for English into Finnish freelance translators to join our Translator Community. We are specifically seeking native Finnish linguists with demonstrable experience in:

• Medical devices
• Audiology
• Hearing care
• Healthcare/digital marketing

to support high-priority localization campaigns for leading global hearing-health brands. Please note that this is a remote, freelance contractor position.

Qualifications

• Native-level proficiency in Finnish.
• A graduate qualification in translation, linguistics, or language studies, OR
• A graduate qualification in another field (such as life sciences, biomedical engineering, or marketing) plus 2 years of full-time professional translation experience, OR
• 5 years of full-time professional translation experience.
• The ability to follow terminology glossaries, brand voice parameters, and reference materials precisely in our online platform.

Requirements

• Native or fluent in Finnish (reading and writing).
• University Degree in Linguistics / Translation, or a medical/scientific certification.
• Demonstrable experience in translation, localization, and transcreation. Please provide details of projects and clients relevant to audiology (hearing aids, audiometry, EU MDR terminology) and/or medical-adjacent B2C marketing.
• Can dedicate a minimum of 5 hours to translation tasks per week.
