[Hiring] Lead Writer and Editor @The Ohio State University

Role Description

The Lead Writer and Editor will provide support for Arts and Humanities faculty in the College of Arts and Sciences—as well as larger groups such as centers—in the areas of grant funding and editorial projects. The Lead Writer and Editor will focus primarily on large, collaborative, and/or federal and foundation grants (such as NEA, NEH, Luce, Mellon Foundation, or Doris Duke Foundation).

• Serve primarily as an editor to coalesce and shape copy into cohesive and impactful grant narratives.
• Work with Arts and Humanities faculty and staff to reframe or recast projects.
• Advise on funding strategies from both the public and private sectors.
• Organize and lead workshops and/or coaching sessions on grant writing for Arts and Humanities faculty and graduate students.
• Tasks will be planned in conjunction with the supervisor to ensure that the timing and scale of projects does not exceed the expected number of hours per week.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 6 years of relevant experience required.
