Role Description

A fast-growing organization in the nonprofit funding space is seeking a highly detail-oriented and resourceful Grant Specialist to join their remote team. This role is ideal for someone with strong persuasive writing skills, experience navigating grant applications, and a passion for helping nonprofits and charities secure meaningful funding.

You’ll work closely with mission-driven organizations across Canada, helping transform their goals and programs into compelling grant proposals and funding applications.

Compensation

• $1,400 per month (remote contractor role)

What You’ll Be Doing

• Research and evaluate grant opportunities and funding eligibility
• Write, edit, and submit high-quality grant applications and proposals
• Draft a minimum of 3 grant applications per day (15 per week)
• Create grant application templates and supporting materials
• Collaborate with internal teams to develop funding strategies and narratives
• Gather project details, budgets, and supporting documentation
• Ensure compliance with funder requirements and deadlines
• Prepare reports and maintain organized documentation
• Support ongoing research initiatives related to grant funding opportunities

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in grant writing, proposal writing, or persuasive writing
• Strong understanding of grant application processes and funding requirements
• Excellent written communication and storytelling abilities
• Strong analytical and research skills
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
• Self-starter mindset with strong problem-solving abilities
• Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced remote environment
• Ability to receive and implement feedback professionally

Remote Work Requirements

• Fully remote position
• Must have a reliable internet connection and personal computer
• Candidates should be comfortable working with at least 6 hours overlap within EST business hours (8 AM – 5 PM EST)
