[Hiring] Direct Response Copywriter @OKTOBER

Role Description

We're one of the fastest-growing Shopify Retention Agencies in the space, and the brands we work with love us for it. Our team is small, sharp, and obsessed with turning one-time buyers into loyal customers and we're building the next generation of retention experts from the ground up. This is your way in.

This is an entry-level role into email retention - steep learning curve, real ownership from day one, and a clear runway into owning your own client strategy as a more senior Retention Manager down the line.

What you'll do:

• Own copywriting for pod accounts (6-8) based on the strategy set by your pod's Senior RM
• Keep projects on track: status updates, chasing approvals, day-to-day sequencing
• Contribute ideas to account strategy and start building your own strategic instincts, working closely with your Senior RM
• Pull and format reports so your Senior RM can turn them into decisions
• Spot blockers or delays before they become a client's problem

Qualifications

• Solid experience with Dutch copywriting in an agency environment: you know how to write copy that gets a response
• Agency experience
• First experience with project management: you can keep tasks, approvals and deadlines organized without things slipping
• Reliability: you deliver what you promise, without needing to be chased
• You own your mistakes and actually apply feedback, instead of just nodding along
• Genuine hunger to grow into strategy and account ownership - this role is a launchpad, not a landing spot
• Dutch native level

Benefits

• Competitive salary
• Generous paid time off
• Fully remote - work from wherever you do your best work
• A real, structured growth path from Associate → Retention Manager → Senior Retention Manager
• Access to all tools, data, courses and coaches you need to get there
• Direct access to founders of the fastest growing e-commerce brands worldwide

This is for you if:

• You're early in your career and want to learn from people actually doing the work, not a Udemy course
• You want to earn your way into owning strategy, not have it handed to you
• You take pride in the details nobody else notices until they go wrong

This is not for you if:

• You want to jump straight into strategy without putting in the reps
• You need constant direction to know what to do next
