Role Description

We are seeking a contract writer to develop and write a Christ-centered book or Bible study on Proverbs 31. This project will dismantle the paradigm that presents Proverbs 31 as an intimidating moralistic checklist, re-anchoring it firmly in the gospel.

• Explore Proverbs 31 as a poem of praise for wisdom in action, pointing ultimately to Jesus Christ.
• Show how knowing and relying on Jesus transforms how a woman lives, works, loves her family, stewards her resources, and spends her time.

We are open to different conceptual directions for this project, including:

• A full-length book exploring Proverbs 31 through a Christ-centered, non-moralistic lens.
• A structured Bible study (e.g., 4–6 weeks) that guides women line-by-line through the passage.

Qualifications

• Master of Divinity (M.Div.) or another advanced theological degree strongly preferred for a Bible study.
• Demonstrated competency in biblical exegesis.
• A clearly articulated Christ-centered hermeneutic.
• Experience writing or teaching Bible studies for lay audiences.
• Ability to communicate complex theological ideas with clarity and pastoral sensitivity.
• Comfortable collaborating within a team-based editorial process.
• Willingness to receive and implement substantive feedback.

Requirements

• Research, outline, and write a complete book or Bible study in Daily Grace's Bible study format.
• Write with theological depth that remains clear and understandable.
• Intentionally guide readers toward spiritual formation and lived obedience.
• Maintain an ecumenical tone when engaging theological issues and interpretive differences.
• Collaborate with the editorial team through multiple rounds of review and revision.
• Ensure theological alignment with the organization’s doctrinal commitment.
