[Hiring] Content Writer @Compound Content Studio

Role Description

We’re looking for a strong early-career writer who wants to develop both craft and strategic exposure. This is an execution-focused role. You’ll be responsible for turning direction into high-quality content quickly and consistently, while learning how messaging, voice, and narrative evolve across different clients. You won’t be expected to own strategy, but you will be expected to collaborate with the team and execute against a defined strategy.

• Write high-quality LinkedIn content for founders, executives, and company pages
• Lead development of brand voice, messaging, and content direction
• Partner with clients to extract insights and shape narratives
• Translate complex SaaS and product concepts into clear, engaging content
• Own content quality and consistency across accounts
• Collaborate with peer writers to improve output and efficiency
• Iterate on content based on feedback, performance, and evolving client goals

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in content, copywriting, or related roles
• Exceptional writing skills with the ability to adapt voice across clients
• Excellent attention to detail
• Strong writing fundamentals: clarity, structure, and tone
• Experience working with SaaS, tech, or product-led companies
• Strong strategic instincts, able to think in messaging, positioning, and audience
• Comfortable leading client conversations and guiding direction
• Ability to manage multiple accounts without sacrificing quality
• Direct experience in an agency or startup environment

Nice to have

• Familiarity with LinkedIn or founder-led content
• Exposure to tech or startup environments
• Early experience with brand voice or messaging

What success looks like

• You consistently deliver clean, on-brief drafts with minimal to no rework
• You improve quickly through feedback and repetition
• You begin to anticipate direction instead of relying on it
• You develop fluency in how content supports client goals
• Within 90 days you have scaled to a full client load

Growth path

Compensation: $75-90K per year. This role is designed to grow into a Senior Content Writer with increased ownership of messaging, accounts, and strategic creative direction.

Core Values

Our core values are the heart and soul of this incredible company. The right person for this role will appreciate each of these values, personally subscribe to them, and understand why each is critical to having a great business.

• Quality: At Compound, we obsess over quality. Quality work solves all of our business problems. When we do great work for clients, they stay longer and send us referrals. It’s also fun to do great work. Creatives on our team don’t view their work as a chore; they love the craft and have an innate desire to get better at it.
• Speed: At Compound, we operate with speed. Working at an early-stage company—especially an agency—is not a "chill" work environment. There are a lot of moving pieces. Clients expect work done well and on time. The right people for our team are excited by this.
• Ownership: At Compound, we take ownership. When you take ownership, you make everyone’s job easier. If everyone takes ownership over their respective tasks, everything runs more smoothly. A sign you’d be a great fit for Compound is if working with people who don’t exemplify these values drives you insane.
