[Hiring] Consultant Copywriter for Impact Assessment Platforms @IIX Global

Role Description

IIX is seeking a skilled and creative Consultant Copywriter to develop compelling content for its technology-enabled impact platforms, including IIX Values™ and IIX Intelligence™. This is a project-based engagement for a professional who understands the intersection of technology, finance, and social impact and can translate complex ideas into clear, engaging, and purposeful copy.

The Consultant will work closely with the Strategic Initiatives and Communications teams to produce content that resonates with a global audience of investors, development sector professionals, and impact enterprises. This is not a traditional staff role. It is designed for an experienced, self-directed content professional who can take a brief and deliver polished, mission-aligned copy with minimal hand-holding.

Key Deliverables

• Platform & Product Copywriting
  • Write and edit website copy, platform UI text, product descriptions, and user-facing content for IIX's tech platforms.
  • Develop taglines, value propositions, and messaging frameworks for new product launches or feature rollouts.
  • Ensure consistency of voice, tone, and terminology across all digital touchpoints.
• Content & Communications
  • Draft thought leadership articles, blog posts, newsletters, and social media content aligned to IIX's strategic priorities.
  • Create pitch decks, one-pagers, and investor-facing materials that communicate platform impact and value.
  • Support the development of case studies and impact stories drawn from IIX's portfolio.
• Brand & Narrative
  • Maintain and strengthen IIX's brand voice across platforms and audience segments.
  • Adapt technical or data-heavy content into accessible narratives for diverse stakeholder groups.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, English, Journalism, Marketing, International Development, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 4 years of copywriting or content strategy experience, preferably in technology, fintech, or development sector contexts.
• Proven portfolio demonstrating strong digital copywriting — platform UI, product content, and/or B2B content.
• Excellent command of English with the ability to write clearly, persuasively, and accessibly for varied audiences.
• Experience adapting complex technical or financial concepts into engaging, reader-friendly content.
• Proven ability to work as a self-starter, manage feedback across multiple stakeholders, and meet deadlines.

Preferred / Desired Qualifications

• Familiarity with impact investing, ESG, gender finance, or sustainable development themes.
• Experience writing for SaaS platforms, data products, or tech-enabled services.
• Working knowledge of SEO principles and digital content best practices.
