[Hiring] Arabic to English Linguist for Patent @Welo Global

Role Description

We are looking for translators with experience in Arabic (All Countries) to English Patent Translators/LQA reviewers (native-level fluency of languages specified) with immediate availability for a patent translation project in the fields of Mechanics, Computer Science, and Chemistry.

• Translate and review patent-related content from Arabic (All Countries) into English, with original meaning conveyed in a manner that is readable and understandable to the target audience.
• The Style adequacy is a key aspect for our client.
• Follow instructions, for example, Translation process, CAT tool usage, etc.
• Communicate effectively and respond promptly in English.

Qualifications

• Degree in linguistics, translation or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in the translation and/or editing of patent documents.
• Proficiency in the use of CAT tools, especially with XTM.
• Attention to detail.
• Good availability and quick response times.

Requirements

• Selected candidates will be invited to complete a translation test.
• Approved linguists will then be included in our pool of external partners and professional details will be made available to our global Production teams.
