Northrop Grumman Defense Systems sector is currently seeking a Principal / Sr. Principal Supply Chain Procurement Specialist 3/4 to join our team of diverse professionals.

• Sources and procures electrical, electronic, and electromechanical goods and services.
• Purchases machinery, equipment, tools, raw material, packaging materials, parts, services, and/or supplies necessary for operation of an organization.
• Compiles and analyzes statistical data to determine feasibility of buying products and to establish price objectives.
• Experience in researching opportunities and creating long-term agreements, master pricing agreements.
• Establishes a systematic process to reduce costs and improve quality through strategic sourcing methods.
• Analyzes spending, researches the market, and negotiates with suppliers.
• Confers with suppliers and analyzes operations to determine factors affecting prices.
• Initiates Requests for Quotations and Proposals and analyzes proposed pricing from potential suppliers.
• Evaluates and monitors supplier quality and reliability in conjunction with the quality organization.
• Works with internal customers to ensure specifications are appropriate for required services or products.
• Identifies opportunities to reduce cost, improve efficiency, and manage risk through targeted negotiations.
• Issues purchase orders and manages performance of purchase orders.
• Ensures compliance with public law requirements and company policies.
• Employs sound business practices and assesses supplier performance as part of follow-up activities.
• Ensures appropriate documentation is provided to logistics/transportation & warehouse organization.
• Reviews and approves supplier payment as needed.
• Utilizes process tools such as Lean Six Sigma with suppliers to drive quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Principal Supply Chain Procurement Specialist: Must have high school diploma or equivalent (GED) with at least 9 years of relevant experience or 5 years of relevant experience with bachelor’s degree or 3 years of relevant experience with Master’s.
• Demonstrated ability to utilize Microsoft Office to create spreadsheets, documents, presentations (i.e., Word, Excel & PowerPoint).
• The ability to collaborate with program management and other multi-functional teams.
• Possess strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment and apply sound judgment to problem solving.
• Knowledge of FAR/DFAR.
• Knowledge of CPSR and government audits.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
• Sr. Principal Supply Chain Procurement Specialist: Must have high school diploma or equivalent (GED) with at least 12 years of relevant experience or 8 years of relevant experience with bachelor’s degree or 6 years of relevant experience with Master’s.

Requirements

• Expertise in Word and Excel.
• Experience using SAP, PPT.
• Expertise/experience working Long Term Agreements, Master Pricing Agreements, etc.
• Knowledge of U.S. Government contracting and the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR)/Defense Federal Acquisitions Regulation Supplement (DFARS).
• Specific working knowledge of Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) and Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) audit procedures.
