[Hiring] Principal in Strategy and Business Operations @Atlassian

Role Description

Atlassian is seeking a Principal in Strategy and Business Operations (SBO) to partner directly with our Rovo and AI organization. The Strategy & Business Operations team is a high impact team that works closely with business leaders across the company, driving strategy, growth, and business operations.

You’ll own projects from inception to execution and delivery, ensuring that the strategies you develop are creative and offer high-quality and impactful recommendations to business partners. You’ll also be responsible for stewarding business performance against strategies and driving insight into what’s working, and what’s not.

This role will support leaders in our Rovo and AI organization, which is Atlassian’s central AI platform team. We are building foundational infrastructure to power the Future of Teamwork across Atlassian’s Collections.

• Map fast-moving innovations in the AI space to impacts on company-wide priorities and roadmaps
• Drive strategic and data-driven decision-making and help inform business decisions through thorough analysis, research, and insights
• Lead and manage key operational processes to crystallize long-range planning, short and medium-term plans, and OKRs/frameworks to measure outcomes
• Own and drive business reviews to inform the Rovo & AI leaders and Atlassian’s executive team of progress against operational plans and health of key drivers of the business
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders, including product, sales, marketing, data science, and finance teams

Qualifications

• 8+ years experience in high growth software/tech industry in BizOps and/or consulting, investment banking roles
• Comfortable with ambiguity and take a structured approach to decision-making
• Strong executive presence with excellent verbal & written communications skills
• Use a range of AI tools to materially accelerate your own work
• Deep sense of ownership and a desire to run independently
• Intellectually curious and genuinely excited about technology
