[Hiring] Software Engineer III @Assurity

Role Description

As a Software Engineer III, you’ll take responsibility for the design and delivery of a specific application, platform, or system, including mid-to-large AI and automation solutions and their integration with Assurity’s core systems, keeping it maintainable, secure, reliable in production, and fit for purpose through current delivery and the system’s near-term roadmap.

• Run small-to-mid initiatives end to end without waiting for an analyst to be assigned.
• Direct AI agents on substantial development work.
• Lead verification of AI-generated changes on the team.
• Coach teammates.
• Use approved AI tools routinely for suitable work and own the quality, security, and correctness of the results.
• Bring professional judgment, including choosing when to use AI and checking its output.

Qualifications

• Typically 4 or more years of professional software development experience.
• A sustained portfolio of work shipped iteratively with AI agents.
• Experience designing application components, integrations, and system architecture.
• Experience leading small-to-mid initiatives from intake through rollout.
• Strong experience with relational and document or graph data systems.
• Experience building interfaces using modern HTML/CSS and functional solutions.
• Ability to design and implement unit and integration tests.
• Strong problem diagnosis, troubleshooting, and creative problem-solving skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced remote team environment.

Requirements

• Experience with modern source control and CI/CD release pipelines.
• Experience with Linux and container operations.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks within timelines and budgets.
• Ability to learn rapidly and master diverse technologies and techniques.
