[Hiring] Senior Backend Engineer @Tilt Finance

Role Description

We're looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join the team building Cashalo. You'll play a key role in building and scaling the core technology that powers financial access for millions of Filipinos - working on product-facing features, platform reliability, and technical initiatives across our .NET and Azure stack. This is a high-ownership IC role on a lean, globally connected team. You'll work closely with product, credit, and engineering colleagues across APAC, with a global team to leverage when needed. This is a 100% remote role that requires travel 2-4 times/year.

• Build and maintain robust backend services and APIs using .NET (C#) that power Cashalo's lending products
• Take ownership of features end-to-end — from requirements through to deployment — working closely with product and business stakeholders
• Contribute to platform reliability, observability, and deployment practices on Azure
• Help uplift the team through code reviews, knowledge sharing, and a high bar for quality

Qualifications

• Demonstrated hands-on experience in .NET (C#) building production-grade backend systems
• Strong experience with SQL Server — relational data modelling, query optimisation, and schema management
• Experience building on a public cloud platform (Azure, AWS, GCP)
• Strong fundamentals in designing and consuming REST APIs
• A product engineer mindset - you care about solving real user and business problems, not just writing clean code
• Comfortable operating with autonomy in a fast-moving, lean team where ownership and initiative are valued
• Experience in fintech or lending is a plus
