Role Description

MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Principal Architect for AI-Augmented Infrastructure to join our team in a fully remote capacity. The Principal Architect for AI-Augmented Infrastructure will lead the technical design and implementation of our AI-First operational environment, architecting resilient multi-cloud networks across major public cloud providers and building autonomous orchestration layers using the Agentic Community's MCP Gateway Registry.

• Architecting and deploying production-grade Code Mode MCP servers across enterprise systems like SASE platforms, UEM tools, ITSM systems, SD-WAN controllers, cloud-based network management platforms, IAM solutions, and centralized network security management systems to enable secure LLM interaction.
• Building unified, autonomous orchestration layers leveraging the Agentic Community's MCP Gateway Registry while establishing agent identity management and permission scoping to enforce Zero Trust security models across AI agent interactions.
• Overseeing the architectural design of resilient multi-cloud environments using cloud-native networking fabrics, including Shared VPCs, Cloud Routers, and secure Cloud Interconnects.
• Aligning network controls and micro-segmentation with NIST 800-207 Zero Trust frameworks and automating centralized security governance and policy distribution globally utilizing centralized network security management platforms.
• Engineering and maintaining centralized Infrastructure as Code (IaC) libraries with open-source infrastructure provisioning tools to govern cloud assets.
• Implementing automated rightsizing and spend tracking to optimize inference compute costs and cloud resource spend.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Master's degree in Information Technology, or equivalent degree with highly progressive network engineering and architecture experience.
• Significant experience architecting enterprise AI fabrics and Agentic NetDevOps orchestration layers for large-scale operations.
• Extensive background engineering multi-cloud network architectures across major public cloud environments, including GCP, Azure, AWS, and OCI.
• Demonstrated expertise maintaining large-scale IaC architectures utilizing modern infrastructure provisioning modules.
• Proven background implementing cloud resource FinOps with automated spend tracking and rightsizing.
• Proven capability in managing centralized security governance, micro-segmentation, and Zero Trust implementations at an enterprise scale.

Preferred Qualifications

• Deep technical expertise with the Agentic Community's MCP Gateway Registry and Code Mode MCP server deployment.
• Advanced expertise in automated micro-segmentation and security policy distribution across global multi-cloud networks.
• Strong leadership skills with a track record of driving cross-functional alignment between engineering, security, and enterprise operations teams.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.
• Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
• Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.

Compensation and Benefits

The projected compensation range for this position is $148,200.00-$263,000.00. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
