Role Description

The Lead OEM Solution Engineer is responsible for supporting the success and growth of Hyland's OEM partnerships by driving technical integration, product alignment, and partner enablement. This role serves as a senior technical liaison between Hyland and OEM partners — helping ensure Hyland technologies are effectively integrated, embedded, and positioned within partner solutions.

Working closely with partner engineering teams and Hyland Product, Engineering, Solutions, and Global Alliances teams, the Lead OEM Partner Engineer translates partnership objectives into actionable technical solutions. This individual leads integration execution, provides architectural guidance, supports technical validation, and ensures OEM solutions are technically sound, scalable, and ready for market.

Success in this role requires deep technical expertise, effective cross-functional leadership, and the ability to manage multiple partner initiatives while balancing immediate integration needs with long-term partnership objectives.

Responsibilities

• Drive technical execution of OEM integrations — collaborating with OEM engineering teams to design, implement, troubleshoot, and validate integrations involving Hyland technologies.
• Provide senior-level technical guidance on integration architectures, APIs, authentication, data exchange, deployment models, and relevant integration patterns.
• Deliver technical onboarding, training, and enablement to OEM partner engineering and technical teams.
• Collaborate with OEM Partner Managers and Partner Sales teams to ensure solutions are technically ready for customer adoption.
• Serve as the primary technical liaison between OEM partner engineering teams and Hyland stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities to standardize and improve OEM integration patterns, implementation practices, and technical documentation.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of experience in software engineering, solution engineering, technical partnerships, systems integration, or a related technical role.
• Strong understanding of APIs, RESTful services, authentication and authorization, cloud platforms, and common integration patterns.
• Experience collaborating with product management, software engineering, architecture, and external partner technical teams.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple integration initiatives, competing priorities, and technical dependencies.
• Experience creating technical documentation, architecture diagrams, integration guides, or other reusable technical resources.

Requirements

• Experience supporting OEM, ISV, technology alliance, or embedded software partnerships.
• Familiarity with enterprise content management, content services, document management, workflow automation, or intelligent document processing.
• Experience with cloud-native architectures, SDKs, webhooks, event-driven integrations, or middleware.
• Experience supporting joint solution development, technical validation, or partner-led customer implementations.
• Demonstrated ability to serve as a technical evangelist.

Pay Transparency

The base salary compensation range for this role is $155,525 – $170,349 per year. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors in accordance with applicable laws.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related field, such as Management Information Systems or Computer Science; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Technical Sales experience with healthcare imaging.
• Understanding of the healthcare IT landscape.
• Proven experience with PACSGEAR solutions.
• Strong understanding of DICOM, XDS, HL7, VNA.
• Knowledge of general software implementation methodologies.
• Able to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Self-directed with the ability to manage projects to completion.
• Good collaboration skills, applied successfully within team as well as with other areas.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and use engaging, informative and compelling presentation methodologies.
• Speak or write with ease, clarity and impact, using a communication style appropriate to the subject and the audience.
• Demonstrated ability to establish rapport and gain the trust of others; effective at gaining consensus.
• Driven to learn and stay current professionally.
• Up to 60% travel time required.
