[Hiring] Full Stack Software Engineer @DivIHN Integration

Role Description

As a Full Stack Software Engineer (Java/Kotlin, Angular), you will develop cloud-based software systems (APIs and Websites) as part of a multi-disciplinary team that works with an Agile methodology integrating design, development, testing, and quality control.

• Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives as part of an agile team.
• Design, develop, and maintain UI and APIs for Dexcom centralized account and consent management system.
• Ensure APIs are scalable, low latency, and fault-tolerant to meet business and customer needs.
• Build responsive frontend and backend applications using modern frameworks and technologies such as Spring Boot, Java, and Kotlin.
• Work with NoSQL databases like Cassandra, MongoDB, DynamoDB, or RDBMS like MySQL, Postgres, Oracle.
• Write and maintain unit tests, integration tests, and end-to-end tests using frameworks like JUnit, Mocha, and Karma.
• Develop web applications with Angular or other modern JavaScript frameworks.
• Design and optimize database schemas and queries to ensure efficient data storage and retrieval.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate design, development, testing, and quality control.
• Ensure code quality and reliability through continuous testing and code reviews.
• Containerize applications using Docker and deploy them to cloud platforms such as Google Cloud Platform.
• Use tools like Kubernetes (K8s) and Helm for orchestration and management of containerized applications.
• Implement and manage authentication and authorization mechanisms using OAuth, OpenID, and SSO.
• Ensure secure access to APIs and data.
• Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub Actions.
• Automate build, test, and deployment processes to ensure rapid and reliable delivery of software.
• Monitor and optimize the performance of data pipelines and APIs.
• Identify and resolve bottlenecks to ensure high availability and responsiveness.
• Document API specifications, design decisions, and development processes.
• Collaborate with team members, stakeholders, and partners to gather requirements and provide technical support.

Qualifications

• Rich experience developing full stack applications, preferably in a cloud environment (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Knowledge of modern Auth and SSO frameworks such as OAuth 2.0, OpenId, and/or SAML.
• Excellent programming skills in Kotlin, Java, Angular, JavaScript, TypeScript, or other similar languages.
• Experience in building frontend and backend applications using modern frameworks and technologies.
• Previously worked with NoSQL (Cassandra, MongoDB, DynamoDB) or RDBMS (MySQL, Postgres, Oracle).
• Familiarity with relevant, modern software test tools and equipment.
• Experience in building cloud-based, container components, CI and CD Pipelines.
• Comfortable being part of a team that builds components as part of a distributed environment.
• Ability to work in a dynamic team environment and possess time management skills to meet schedules.
• Exposure to GitHub Actions, Helm, Kubernetes, Google Cloud Platform, or AWS.

Requirements

• Programming in Java / Kotlin – 2 years minimum.
• REST APIs and Angular.
• RDBMS.

Preferred Skills

• Keycloak.
• Containerization and GCP or AWS.
• Spring Boot, Karate/Playwright Testing Framework.

• Lack of team/partner relationship experience.

Education Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree+ in data/software engineering or similar.

Required Testing

• Yes, online/take home assignment.

Software Skills Required

• Mobile app development (iOS + Android ideal but iOS only is acceptable), backend development.

Number of Interviews

• 2 rounds, Two hours of technical interview, 2nd round interview preferred to be onsite, thus local candidate preferred.
