Role Description

• Facilitate effective communication with client project stakeholders regarding project status and recommendations.
• Craft client code that is efficient, performant, testable, scalable, secure, and of the highest quality.
• Actively participate in accurate planning and estimation efforts, utilizing project methods and tools.
• Proficiently gather requirements and organize/present developed features for clients.
• Execute complex activities within the current methodology and quality standards, showcasing success across diverse engagements.
• Promote client success by collaborating with engineers, designers, and managers to understand user pain points and iterate on solutions.
• Engage in agile software development, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, team retrospectives, and other governance activities.
• Participate in the Engineering Practice community, mentoring others and supporting the growth of technical capabilities.
• Independently drive project delivery within defined architecture, demonstrating autonomy and accountability from conceptualization to deployment.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 5+ years of experience/expertise in the following areas:
• TypeScript/Node at depth
• AWS serverless: Lambda, DynamoDB, SQS, IAM basics
• GraphQL resolver work
• SQL and relational modelling — Aurora/Postgres for new services
• Comfort with raw SQL access layers, not just an ORM
• Experience working productively in a large entangled legacy module without rewriting it
• Experience in Agile software development methodologies.
• Expertise in applying Object-Oriented Programming principles (abstraction, encapsulation).
• Practical experience building or working with AI-driven frameworks and understanding AI-assisted development.

Requirements

• Terraform or equivalent IaC
• ECS/Fargate
• Prisma
• Message-queue patterns: idempotency, retries, dead-letter handling
• Amplify/AppSync specifically
• Audit trail / regulated data experience
