Role Description
We are looking for a skilled WordPress Website Developer to design, implement, and maintain websites using the WordPress platform. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of front-end and back-end development, be proficient in coding, and have experience with WordPress themes, plugins, and customization.
- Develop, customize, and maintain WordPress websites.
- Design and implement new features and functionality.
- Ensure responsive, mobile-friendly, and SEO-optimized website designs.
- Troubleshoot and resolve website issues, including performance optimization and security vulnerabilities.
- Integrate third-party plugins and APIs as needed.
- Create and modify custom WordPress themes and plugins.
- Optimize website speed and performance.
- Collaborate with designers, content creators, and marketing teams.
- Maintain website updates, backups, and security measures.
- Ability to create custom features like forms, searchable directories, and other items that would be used on a WordPress website.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a WordPress Developer with 3+ years of experience.
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and MySQL.
- Experience with WordPress themes, page builders (Elementor, DV, Goodlayers, WPBakery, etc.), and plugins.
- Understanding of website security, performance optimization, and SEO best practices.
- Experience with version control systems like Git.
- Familiarity with REST APIs and third-party integrations.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Requirements
- Experience with WooCommerce, membership sites, or custom post types.
- Proficiency in WIX, Weebly, Shopify, Magento.
- Familiarity with hosting environments (cPanel, Cloudflare, etc.).
- Knowledge of UI/UX design principles.
