Role Description
This role involves developing and enhancing the Vimeo OTT platform.
- Write well-tested and performant code for our web platform using Ruby, JavaScript, and other languages when appropriate.
- Make important contributions to the Vimeo OTT platform and expand our ability to deliver rich experiences to our users.
- Grow your technical expertise to become an effective collaborator with teammates on tough problems and innovative technical solutions.
- Improve performance, monitoring, alerting, and security for our services.
Qualifications
- Experience shipping high-impact, well-factored features in a modern web development framework.
- Proficiency in modern web development concepts and best practices.
- Prioritize shipping user value and focus on making an impact for users.
- Strive to write high-quality code and automated tests, with attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills across different audiences.
- Highly curious and an inveterate learner, willing to take risks and innovate.
Requirements
- Base Salary Range:
- NYC Metro, Bay Area, Seattle, & Los Angeles: $130,000 - $178,500
- All other US cities outside above metro areas: $117,000 - $160,650
- Actual salaries will vary depending on experience, specialized skills, internal alignment, and location.
