Role Description
We are looking for a Backend Software Engineer to join our team and help us revolutionize the way people move around our cities. As a key member of our team, you’ll have the opportunity to design and build the core technology that powers our fleet of connected vehicles.
- Solve strategically essential technical problems, including building highly scalable foundational platforms, and revamping existing core application experiences.
- Scrutinize and reason clearly about the technology and architecture we make.
- Build scalable, efficient, and stable software to power our electric vehicles and related features.
- Participate in cross-functional collaboration with PMs, Engineers, Design, Data Scientists, Research, and Operations teams.
- Contribute to shaping the overall engineering culture at the company.
Qualifications
- 1+ years of industry professional software development experience and a track record of building impactful products or systems.
- Skilled at writing logical and maintainable code, and providing clear feedback in code reviews.
- Customer obsessed. You put the customer first.
- Data driven. You have a strong data insight and rely on data to make decisions.
- Outcomes oriented. You focus on impact.
- Strong collaborator. You understand cross-functional strategies and involve key stakeholders in decision making.
- Technical proficiency to understand the design and implementation of projects and ideas.
- Excellent communication and effective prioritization skills in working with competing priorities.
- Passionate. You’re passionate about Lime’s mission and micromobility; you want to see cities transform to become people-centric and less polluted.
Requirements
- Experience in IoT-connected devices.
- Experience in Ruby and Go.
Benefits
- The anticipated salary range for this position is $121,000 - 147,000.
- Annual performance bonus, equity and benefits may be provided as part of the compensation package, depending on the position offered.
- Not all candidates will be eligible for the upper end of the salary range.
- Exact salary will ultimately depend on multiple factors, which may include the candidate’s location of residence, the successful candidate's skills, experience and other qualifications.
- In addition to base salary, some roles may be eligible for a variable performance-bonus based on a combination of company performance, employee performance, and management discretion.
