Role Description
This role involves working as a Software Developer to convert Data Stage jobs to SSIS jobs and enhance ETL processes.

Convert Data Stage Jobs to SSIS Jobs
- Successfully migrate all existing Data Stage jobs to SSIS, ensuring seamless integration with Oracle, SQL Server, and MySQL databases.
- Leverage existing stored procedures, functions, and views during the conversion process.

Enhance ETL Processes
- Utilize strong SSIS and ETL expertise to improve data aggregation and analysis.
- Optimize ETL performance and troubleshoot any issues that arise.

Integrate Databases with Other Systems
- Ensure smooth integration of SQL, PL/SQL databases with various systems and applications.
- Utilize Powershell or similar scripting languages to support integration efforts.

Provide Thought Leadership
- Devise innovative approaches to solve complex data integration problems.
- Share knowledge and best practices with the team to foster continuous improvement.

Project Status Updates
- Provide regular updates on project status to stakeholders.
- Ensure transparency and clear communication throughout the project lifecycle.

Adhere to SDLC and Agile Practices
- Follow the defined software development life cycle (SDLC) process.
- Participate actively in Agile development practices to complete code changes for defined releases.

Collaborate with Stakeholders
- Work closely with multiple agency stakeholders to ensure the accuracy and efficacy of created reports.
- Support the educational needs of districts through accurate data reporting.

Documentation and Testing
- Maintain thorough documentation of all development work.
- Conduct development and unit testing to ensure high-quality deliverables.
Qualifications
- 7 years of strong expertise in SSIS and ETL Processes
- 7 years of proficiency in SQL and relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL)
- 7 years of experience with various ETL tools, data integration, and data mapping
- 7 years of ability to troubleshoot ETL issues and optimize performance
- 7 years of Dev/Unit Testing experience
- 7 years of Agile Development experience
- 5 years of experience with Powershell or similar scripting languages
- 5 years of experience with IBM DataStage
