Role Description

Enhance User Experience:
- Create intuitive and user-friendly designs for applications and websites.
- Ensure all design decisions are grounded in user experience principles and adhere to design standards and industry best practices.
Research and Development:
- Translate user research into actionable user stories, requirements, flows, wireframes, and prototypes.
- Collaborate on the future product roadmap to align with user needs and organizational goals.
User Testing and Feedback:
- Conduct user testing and outreach to gather feedback and ensure products meet the needs of end users.
- Work closely with partners to incorporate feedback into design iterations.
Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement:
- Partner with the product team and other key stakeholders, including senior leadership, to develop and rationalize design solutions.
- Collaborate with internal and external teams of product designers, developers, and product managers to ensure cohesive and effective design implementation.
Leadership and Initiative:
- Lead UX/UI design efforts with minimal supervision, using strong independent judgment and initiative.
- Drive alignment with existing work in the field and ensure the successful deployment of technology solutions.

Qualifications

8 Required Experience in software product development, digital design, UX/UI or a related field
8 Required Designing mockups and/or wireframes that conform to UX best practices
8 Required A portfolio of user research, visual design, and usability studies that demonstrates a high level of professionalism
8 Required Experience conducting user and usability research
5 Required Demonstrated strong writing and organization skills
5 Required Demonstrated strong communication and facilitation skills
4 Required Direct experience leading large-scale UX/UI efforts
4 Required Documented experience developing wireframes, mockups, and prototypes in Figma or comparable design software
3 Required Experience ensuring designs and website conform to federal accessibility guidelines
3 Preferred Documented work experience with the issue tracking software "Atlassian Jira"
2 Preferred Documented experience
