Role Description

We are seeking a hands-on Engineering Manager who excels at balancing deep technical contributions (coding, technical guidance) with effective people management (team growth, roadmap execution, coaching).

Manage a full-stack team and partner closely with Engineering leaders to drive the technical direction of Provider Performance goals.
Work cross-functionally to support the launch of new products and features by building out new product features, APIs, integrations, pipelines & incentives.
Provide a cutting-edge, reliable, and easy-to-use infrastructure for ingesting, storing, processing, and interacting with data.
Support 1M+ patients with 1B+ claims, and 2k+ medical groups.
Scale data integrations, focusing on provider EHRs.
Manage millions of dollars in monthly payments to provider groups.
Translate data into actionable insights for performance improvement.
Maintain a high degree of data safety and quality.

Qualifications

7+ years of software development experience in Python or other backend languages (Java / C++ / Go / Ruby).
3+ years of experience managing software development teams with hands-on involvement in system architecture, design, and performance.
Solid experience in large scale system architecture design and implementation, with full stack experience.
Ability to multiply the team’s impact using effective leadership principles.
Excellent judgment and proactive cross-functional collaboration.
Experience with Django or a similar web framework.
Deep understanding of relational databases, such as PostgreSQL.
Experience with cloud providers such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.

Work with Engineering Leadership to align on product roadmaps, specifications, and priorities.
Strive to minimize bugs and optimize performance for a smooth user experience.
Evolve the architecture to maintain velocity of shipping visible changes.
Manage and grow our Squad(s), actively participate in recruiting and retention.
Contribute to Stellar’s Engineering Culture and ensure clear production code.
Provide effective and constructive feedback through code reviews.
Set consistent standards for code, testing, and bug fixing.
