Role Description

The Technical Sales Engineer leads customers through complex technical challenges and takes ownership of translating ambiguous problems into robust, value‑adding solutions. This role sits at the intersection of engineering and commercial decision‑making. Success is driven by technical credibility, structured problem solving, and the ability to challenge customer assumptions to arrive at the right solution — not by relationship management alone.

• Lead technical and commercial discovery with customers to fully understand operational challenges, constraints, and underlying needs.
• Own the solution strategy at the customer site, from initial problem diagnosis through solution definition and customer decision.
• Translate customer challenges into technically sound, commercially viable solutions.
• Act as the customer's technical authority and sparring partner, including constructively challenging incorrect or incomplete requirements.
• Evaluate technical trade-offs, risks, and alternatives and clearly communicate their impact to customers.
• Collaborate closely with Engineering, project execution, and product teams to ensure feasible and competitive solutions.
• Support customer decision-making through technical presentations, solution comparisons, and risk assessments.
• Contribute to account development by delivering successful outcomes that earn long-term trust.

This is a remote position and best if located near a major airport.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years experience in Sales/Service role.
• Bachelor Degree in Engineering or related field.
• Sales & Management skills.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills.
• Experience in belting, preferably with light-weight conveyor belts.
• Ability to work independently.
• Documentation skills.
