Role Description

We are excited to bring on a Strategic Sales Executive to join our Group Protection Distribution Team supporting Workplace Solutions in Minneapolis, MN.

The Group Protection Distribution Team is looking for an experienced Strategic Sales Executive to join Group Benefits Sales team. As a Strategic Sales Executive for Group Benefits Sales, you will be responsible for building and maintaining business relationships to meet or exceed established sales goals, quotas or objectives by working directly with groups in the assigned territory.

• Work with Advisors, Registered Representatives, Brokers, Plan Sponsors, and Participants to increase sales revenue and market share in offering ancillary products.
• Maintain knowledge on current and emerging developments/trends for assigned territory and products.
• Assess impacts and collaborate with management to incorporate new trends and developments in current and future solutions.
• Develop and maintain an understanding of LFG's products, services, and operational structure.
• Provide education, information, training & advice on Lincoln’s products & services to assigned stakeholders.
• Build and maintain business relationships through effective communication via email, phone, and in person.
• Develop and execute basic plans to increase opportunities to introduce Lincoln’s products/services.
• Identify, recommend, and champion process improvements and organizational initiatives.

Qualifications

• 4 Year/Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of Bachelor's).
• 5 - 7+ Years of experience in intermediary sales that directly aligns with the specific responsibilities for this position.
• Ability to communicate effectively (verbal/written).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Licenses required upon hire.

Requirements

• Group Benefits Sales Experience (Preferred).
• Travel Requirements: Up to 50%.
