[Hiring] Senior Account Executive @Theater Outsource Inc.

Role Description

A lighting systems and rental organization is seeking a Senior Account Executive to develop significant new-equipment and systems-integration business. This is a relationship-driven sales role for someone who can open doors, understand technical project needs, build accurate proposals, and carry opportunities from first conversation through close and handoff.

What You Will Do

• Build new business across venues, theaters, schools, houses of worship, and other organizations that purchase or permanently install lighting and AV systems.
• Develop and execute a territory sales plan with the General Manager to grow revenue, profit, and market share.
• Conduct in-person client meetings and business-development calls; build long-term relationships with customers, manufacturers, and strategic industry contacts.
• Lead complex sales opportunities from discovery through needs analysis, quoting, bid support, contract preparation, closing, and internal project handoff.
• Coordinate with operations and other internal teams so scope, equipment, services, and project details are understood and delivered accurately.
• Track sales activity, maintain accurate CRM records, evaluate lost opportunities, and communicate market feedback.
• Represent the organization professionally in sales meetings and maintain excellent customer service throughout the sales cycle.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of successful sales and customer-service experience in lighting, AV, systems integration, or a closely related technical industry.
• A demonstrated record of new-business development and complex-project sales.
• Established relationships with venues, manufacturers, consultants, integrators, or end users who purchase or permanently install lighting or AV equipment.
• Strong knowledge of lighting, audio, and video systems, with the ability to discuss technical solutions credibly.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, organization, and follow-through.
• Self-directed, personable, and highly service-oriented; comfortable managing multiple active opportunities.
• Strong PC skills, including Microsoft Office and CRM-based sales tracking.

Requirements

• Full-time exempt position. Availability for evenings and weekends is frequently required.
• Frequent travel within the territory and for client meetings is required.
• Regular computer and phone use. The role may occasionally require lifting or moving up to 50 pounds.
