Role Description

This is a remote position.

We are seeking a proactive and confident Sales Support & Lead Generation Assistant to support the business with lead generation, cold calling and consistent follow-up of sales opportunities. The client will retain responsibility for quoting, product recommendations, pricing and closing sales. The successful candidate will focus on generating qualified enquiries and proactively managing assigned opportunities through the sales pipeline until they require the client's input.

Core Responsibilities

• Quote & Lead Follow-Up
  • Proactively follow up assigned quotes and sales opportunities.
  • Establish customer interest, buying timeframes and next steps.
  • Identify questions or objections and escalate to the client when their input is required.
  • Consistently follow up opportunities to ensure they do not become overlooked.
  • Maintain clear notes and follow-up dates in the CRM.
• Cold Calling & Lead Generation
  • Research potential customers and identify suitable contacts.
  • Make outbound cold calls to generate qualified quote requests.
  • Initiate conversations, understand customer needs and identify potential opportunities.
  • Handle initial questions and objections confidently and secure a clear next step.
• Targeted Email Campaigns
  • Prepare targeted email campaigns for different customer sectors using provided mailing lists.
  • Use client-approved content and messaging.
  • Follow up responses and identify qualified opportunities.
• CRM & Sales Pipeline Management
  • Keep accurate records of customer interactions and opportunity status.
  • Ensure every assigned opportunity has a clear next action and follow-up date.
  • Manage assigned opportunities through the designated VA follow-up stage of the sales pipeline.
• General Administration
  • Provide basic administrative support related to lead generation, follow-up and CRM management.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in cold calling and outbound sales follow-up.
• Experience generating or qualifying leads and sales opportunities.
• Confident communicating with prospective customers by phone.
• Ability to handle initial objections and secure a clear next step.
• Strong follow-up and organisational skills.
• Experience using a CRM or sales pipeline.
• Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and proactively.

Requirements

• Experience preparing targeted email campaigns.
• Experience working with Australian customers or businesses.
• Experience in automotive, equipment, machinery or a related industry.
• Experience using UpSourced CRM or a similar platform.

Role Focus

This is a sales support and lead generation role, not a closing role. The successful candidate will be responsible for generating qualified opportunities and consistently following up assigned leads and quotes, while the client retains responsibility for quoting, pricing, product recommendations and closing sales.
